I always love having a canary so that the house is filled with the cute singing all day. I purchased a beautiful red factor canary and was disappointed when I brought him home and he didn't sing at all. I waited a week or so to see if maybe he just needed to become familiar with his surroundings. I went online, and everybody laughed at me -- I bought Feathered Phonics: The easty way to teach your canary to sing. While researching the red factor canary, it said that sometimes a canary simply doesn't sing because it did not have a male "role model" in its life. The bird perhaps never heard another canary sing! So it took a week, and like the person says in the last review, my canary sings as loud and clear as the CD, which I just play from my computer once a day. Long before and after I put in the CD, he is singing up a storm. He DOES look around, wondering where is that other bird? But the CD works and is worth the few dollars you will have to pay!
I purchased this in hopes of getting my male canary to sweeten up his little voice. He enjoys listening to this, as I do. He does sing more now to music and sounds in the house but I don't know that his actual 'voice' has improved. That is OK. I enjoy listening to the birds and he enjoys listening to the birds and singing as best he can along with it.

Miracle worker would be a good title for this CD. Within 2 days of playing the CD, our Tweedy Bird (very original) began to sing.
After 10 days, we won't stop. We love it. First time we ever had a canary and the experience has been magnificent. Of course, the bird must be a male, from what I read.

I have had this CD for over a year and play it nearly everyday. It encourages my canaries to sing and would keep single canaries company. it is a good teaching tool for young males. I have several other CD's and this is the best thus far.

My rescued 1 year old male canary went crazy the first time he heard the CD. It got him singing and jumping all over his cage. He sings much louder and better now. I do not play the whole CD at one time. I think it's too much excitement. He does love it whenever I play it.
